A Miner's Grave
This is the grave site of over 120 miners who were killed during a coal mine explosion in what is now a New Mexico ghost town. A mine car derailed, igniting coal dust, sealing their fate. Most of the miners were Italian immigrants. Many of them were children of men who were killed in an earlier explosion during 1913 caused by a dynamite charge . The cemetery is in a state of neglect, but their grave markers still remain.
